What inspired you to create these different Spotify playlists?
Music is like the heartbeat of our brand, and has always played a big role in both of our lives. It inspires so much of the passion behind what we do, and it's one more way to connect with our customers on a more personal level. Our playlists are based off of our shirt designs, so each song has a specific reason for being there. We hope you feel what we feel when driving around listening to these songs.

What kind of music will you find in each of your current Spotify playlists?
DREAM ALL DAY, DRIVE ALL NIGHT - Songs that might inspire you to throw out your to do list and go for a late night drive when everyone else is asleep, the kind of drive where you lose track of time and don't know when you're coming back.

Summer in the PNW- A feel good soundtrack made for warm weather road trips, inspired by the summers here of course. Anyone who lives here will tell you there's nothing like summer in the PNW, with the bright greens and emerald blue water everywhere, and you can feel this exciting energy that's almost tangible from the first day it hits over 60 degrees. I think it's because us northwestern-ers get so few months of truly hot weather that it makes us motivated to get the most out of each day. If we could bottle that vibe and send it to people, we would...so this playlist is the closest thing to doing that.

meet me in the fog
 - We have a lot of foggy days in the northwest and with them comes an air of mystery, intrigue, drama, and a little danger. That's essentially the sort of mood we aimed to capture here.

  • Who are some of your favorite artists/bands you listen to?

  • Tory: Taking Back Sunday, The Police, Foals, Sting, The 1975, Pvris, Third Eye Blind, HalfNoise, Farro, Bear's Den, The Chain Gang of 1974, The Faint, Haim, LIGHTS... to name a few!

Tahnee: I’ve listened to all of these artists/bands endlessly and only like them more over the years - The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews, Jewel, John Mayer, Tupac, and Britney Spears! Some of the more current stuff I’m into includes Muse, Ellie Goulding, Bon Iver, Pvris, Lights, LANY, The 1975, Frenship, and The Weeknd.

What kind of activities do you perform while listening to music?

Tory: My favorite place to listen to music is in my car. I find too many excuses to aimlessly drive around just so I can play my music loud. Also, I can't ever turn down a good dance party...

Tahnee: I love to put on music while I cook. I love cooking, and music just makes the whole process that much more enjoyable! Actually, when I work I put on music too, like right now! Wait I pretty much always have music on… ha!

Have you been to a concert? Where was it and who did you see?

Tory: Oh man, too many to name! Our dad is a rock musician so we both grew up around live music, and then my husband was in a band called This Providence so I spent a lot of time at local shows in the Seattle music scene. I appreciate all kinds of concerts, from indie bands to pop acts. My first love was in rock music, but I also love dancing and am a long time Britney fan! I saw her and NSYNC nearly every time they came to town and was always blown away by the amazing production of their live shows.

Tahnee: I’ve been so fortunate to have been to so many good concerts I don’t know how to narrow this down!! But probably my all-time favorite was seeing John Mayer in a very small venue with few people in San Diego years ago. It was basically life changing!! But I’ve also REALLY loved seeing The Rolling Stones, Muse, Paramore, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, The Beach Boys and LANY. I love, love, love live shows!

Is there one song that you could play on repeat and not get tired of it?

Tory: There are quite a few for me, but the first ones that come to mind are Midnight City by M83 and MakeDamnSure by Taking Back Sunday. Those two give me chills every time. When I find a new song I like though, I will play it on repeat an absurd amount of times. I have a serious problem with this!

Tahnee: Currently? Out Of My System by Youngr. Of all time - and again I have too many! - but I never get tired of Forever by Ben Harper, The Stone and I’ll Back You Up by Dave Matthews, and Everybody Here Wants You by Jeff Buckley. These songs remind me of good times dating and marrying my husband and that never gets old.
